Acer Aspire 5755G, worth of your money.

This is something in the Aspire 5755G, Acer only could offer those hardware; powerful enough to fulfill the demands of hardcore gamers & power users.
These days second generation Core i5 processor are common and Acer Aspire 5755G is powered with Intel's second generation Core i5 processor (2.3Ghz), 4GB RAM and an impressive 750GB hard drive, but beauty of this machine is the dedicated graphics card – the   Nvidia GT540M with 2GB dedicated memory. This is the RAM capacity which is enough powerful to handle almost any multimedia or gaming task with ease.
One feature of Nvidia's Optimus technology in Acer Aspire 5755G is automatically switching between the Intel integrated graphics and GT540M graphics to decide which card as per the power requirement is to be used. Since a lighter task keeps the machine cooler hence the battery will last longer. A simple but innovative ideas and sounds something impressive isn’t it?

Acer Aspire 5755G is having HDMI, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, D-sub, audio and microphone ports along for connectivity with DVD writer and multi-format card reader. There is an HD webcam for video chats with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 wireless connectivity. The top lid is glossy with an attractive wave pattern, but it attracts fingerprints and smudges.
As Acer Aspire 5755G comes within 15 inch class and as per the trend with 15-inch laptops these days, the 5755G has a keyboard with number pad and a large multi-touch trackpad. Various gestures are available for the trackpad: such as for scrolling and zooming.
To fit everything into the 15-inch frame, Acer Aspire 5755G is reduced with the spacing between keys, reduced the size of the top row (function keys) and the arrow keys -this could be a dealbreaker for some, but you should see if the reduced size affects your typing speed/accuracy before buying. The 15.6-inch wide-screen display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels-good enough for the size.

In terms of performance of Acer Aspire 5755G, the LCD showed vivid color with superb blacks. Movies, games as well as internet browsing was a pleasure, thanks to zero ghosting and crisp details. For the price, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit is included. So it is bit annoying to get the upgadation on Windows professional with some additional price.
Full HD videos, graphics programs like Photoshop, high-end games like Crysis/Dead Space ran without a hitch in Acer Aspire 5755G. Almost all the notebooks are to go hot due to insufficient ventilation; Acer Aspire 5755G  notebook did tend to get hot after an hour of gaming, howeverit cooled down in within few minutes due to the powerful fan.               It weighs 2.6Kg, and I don’t mind this much carrying considering the features Aspire 5755G  holds .
Lastly, the battery life of Acer Aspire 5755G falls to about 3 hours on a full charge, which is still good enough for a large notebook with a powerful graphics chip.
